Water flew up into the air as my body of multiple colors leapt in. Supposedly water was a wolf's biggest fear. Not mine. Water had been the thing to save my life. I'd leapt in, back when my life weas a bit more of a hell than now. And they let me be free, thinking I would drown. I didn't. Any wolf can swim, if they try. The problem is most don't. Treading the water and quickly got to the other side and pulled mself out, shaking out excess water. With a soft growl, I placed my feet on a boulder(like her pic), glanced around for a moment, then backed up, took a running stridee nad leapt up, weighed down by water but easily making it.

Ivor paws hit the ground in rythmic time as the large wolf moved on through the area. The grass lay flat beneath his paws bowing down to him. A golden eagle cried above and Kale looked up to see it soaring onward. He sprang into a run and followed it his crimson mark glowing brightly. The next thing he new he was willed forward and he jumped off a medium sized waterfall. The ground was no longer beneath his feet and he plunged towards the water bellow the deep shadows of rocks no visible. He trusted the sense that came to him and moved himself to a diving position. Entering the water he sank deeper gravity doing its work. Finally he felt a rock beneath his feet and pressed off swimming to the surface. He broke through and swam to the edge pulling himself up onto solid ground. Shaking his pelt he looked over orbs unemotional as he spotted a fae. He stood looking at her for a moment before turning and begining a slow trot off not sure if she had seen him and if she had would she follow him.

| This is the story of a g i r l...
I saw him, and I froze up, my body becoming a statue. Even though he was leaving, I stayed rigid with fright, invisbly shaking underneath my thick pelt. Despite being scared of running into another, my paws moved forward of their own accord, slipping into the bush, where I felt more protected, even though I knew it meant nothing. My eyes were glued to him, wanting to leave, but afraid he'd short-sight me if they did. Paranoid. That's what I was. But certain things do that to you. -if you can't tell, I use the title of their joining posts to define who I'm playing currently -

He knew she was following as her scent grew stronger. He stopped and stood facing the way she was coming from. Everything about him was calm and patient just waiting for the female who was following him to emerge.

I stopped as he turned around, crouching down to the ground and stepping back a step or two, again going back to being scared. My breaths were shallow and fast as I stayed there, silent and unmoving.

He caught her movement as she backed up out of the corner of his eye. He didn't have a clue why everyone feared him. He took a deep breath speaking clearly the forest hushing when the words came forth.
"Come forth fae. You have no reason to fear me."
His voice was cool and collect yet pleasant to the ear. He rarely spoke it but when he did it was a magnificent tone to listen to.

I crept forward, only out of the trees, no farther. His voice was soothing, yes, but I'd learned the hard way to never judge by what seems to be. It often turns out to be a mistake, which I end up paying for.

Kale didn't like staying in one place for a long time. He was a wanderer and he felt exposed if he stayed out in the open like this. Growing impatient he turned and continued to walk. He didn't have time for faes that didn't trust him. He had to keep collecting members if he ever wanted to make the Light Tribe strong. Slowly he wound his way through the trees often turning and plunging into rivers and swimming to the other side. He could sense the faes presence still but ignored it. He wondered why she wouldn't approach him. After a while he turned to face the direction she would come from. It's either she asked to be in the tribe now or forever hold her peace.

Still, my paws followed him. But, I didn't expect him to stop, and ran smack into him. Quickly getting to my feet I cowered, as if expecting punishment. I was, too. Every little thing, however small, was punishable where I came from. At least, in my life. I'm not sure if they all were like that.

He watched as she ran into him then cowar at his paws. He looked down seeing a piece of himself reflected in her features. Having to fear others, having learned no one can be trusted the hard way. He looked down on her with unwavering eyes.
"Rise fae. I shall not harm you. Now what is it you seek?"
His voice was smooth and flowing coaxing the fae to her feet. It had a hard guarded sense to it though for he had learned if you show kindness you are exposing your throat.

I rose slowly. I-I don't really know....Sort of sub conciously following...i guess... I replied, my voice hardl able to be heard, but still there, if you looked for it.

He looked as she rose. He was quite tall and big but it didn't matter. Her voice was quiet and shaky. He didn't really know what to do or say. He couldn't have timid wolves in his pack. Maybe when she gets to know him she'll relax.
"I see. Well if your interested I extend an invitation to join my pack. You may accept or decline. That decision is up to you."

Wait. Decide? For myself? There's one privilege I'd never had, well, except the jumping in a river thing and all. This made me hopeful. Well, as hopeful as you can get when you've been through what I have. Still a small bit nervous, but slowly gaining my confidence, I replied, I think I'll accept.

He watched her perk up a bit and smirked a little. HE almost never smiled so a smirk was a good sign. He heard her answer and nodded once.
"Good. Now would you like me to show you the Light Pack lands or do you want to hang here a bit and find them on your own?"
The question was simple. He didn't plan on sticking around but if she had some stuff to do he could return for her or she could try to find the packlands by herself.

No smile lighted on her face, but a slight sparkle of life returned to her eyes. I'll go now.
